Such is www.haringeyboroughfc.net and it can be acessed via the LINK tab to the left ========================================== LATEST NEWS AND IMPORTANT NOTICES 16th November ANOTHER DOUBLE COMPLETED - BUT JUST A DRAW THIS TIME Borough again failed to hold on to a 2 -0 lead created by a direct free kick and a close range finish, both by Derek Asamoah. There was a sense of the inevitable when Waltham Abbey scored early in the second half and they duly equalised not very long afterwards. It was a relief that "The Abbotts" did not add a third especially as we had to endure a nerve-biting six minutes of added time, well aware that we had conceded an equaliser deep into stoppage time when we visited Capershotts ealier this season. Next Saturday we are away to Divisional leaders Bury Town who were at Coles Park last Tuesday and scored a stoppage time winner after we had led 3-1. Before then we have yet another Tuesday home game when Maldon & Tiptree, whose 2-0 win at Newmarket Town enabled them to climb above us on goal difference and push us back into the drop zone, and as our record in the 11 games we have played against them includes only 2 wins and 1 draw a very testing seven days lies ahead (Tuesday update Georgios Aresti's goal direct from a free kick on the edge of the "D" gave us a half time lead but when Maldon and Tiptree upped their game in the 2nd. half and converted a corner after some 5 minutes there was an inevitability about the final result given "The Jammers" habit of scoring late goals against us and our propensity to concede stoppage time goals and that is what duly happened, again when a corner was not cleared and the less said about our second half performance the better.........on Friday evening the UNDER 23s had got the weekend off to a fine start when FC Petrocub visited Coles Park and suffered a 7-2 defeat which lifted us to 4th in the table with games in hand on all the three teams above us.........on Sunday the WOMEN faced a daunting challenge away to Luton Town as they sought to prevent their hosts completing the seasons double over them but were unable to do so as they lost 7-1. ==================================================== 2nd July SEASON TICKETS granting entry to all our remaining 19 Isthmian League HOME matches are again on offer at a cost of £30.
