  IMPORTANT NOTICE

Sadly the days of this website are numbered as the host platform (mySportSiteinc. based in Canada) is closing down permanently on July 5th and not renewing those sites that expire in the interim. Ours expires on 28th March.   After 60 days (see below) loyal  .com readers will need to change the   .com suffix    to  .net  and that will take them instead to the Club’s Official website.  Some of the information available only via .com has already been successfully archived on to  .net by Nick – most importantly the list including the  results of every match played by each of the Club’s teams from 2006/07 to date, albeit not in the same format.  Club news from 2006 until the Club’s new Official website was created in 2015 when we became Isthmian’s has also been preserved. The Club History, which includes details of our final position in the League/Division in which we have participated from 1973/74 onwards when the final merger of the  Edmonton and Wood Green Town arms of the present Club took place, is also among the archived material available there.   To access it use the “JWB Archive” tab. BUT NO GOOD NEWS ON THE PLAYING FRONT

- QUITE THE OPPOSITE

For too long we have been relying on the shortcomings of others to assist our fight against the drop and today it was hammered home that such will not on its own be sufficient.  We picked up a point against visiting Cambridge City, a mid-table team with no play off hopes or relegation worries, while our two main rivals for the 18th spot both won.   Yet again we were undone by a late  goal (91st minute) after having led from the 15th minute thanks to a superbly timed run and header by man of the match Scott Mitchell which enabled him to meet Matt Young's corner and head it powerfully just inside the front post.  A not particularly memorable game then ensued - all a bit deja vu really - as we made a good number of half chances, and a few better ones, and failed to put any of them away.  So in the light of our past experiences there was an inevitable nervousness  that our profligacy would eventually come back to bite us , and so it proved.  City upped up their game late on and a burst down the right wing ended in a cross too easily converted at the far post and so we chalked up our 4th consecutive draw. But it dhould also be remembered that although City created less chances than us it was only through two outstanding saves, one in each half, by Ashlee Jones that we got a point.  All is not yet lost so we must go to another mid-table team next Saturday (Mildenhall Town) with hope in our hearts and, thanks to our wonderful supporters, the team will know that they will never walk alone.  With each team now having 5 more matches to play the current situation is :-          Newmarket Town 37 points Goal Difference - 27

Wroxham  36 points             Goal Difference  -16 

Us 33 points                          Goal Diffrence    -21

Neither the UNDER 23s nor the WOMEN had a game this weekend                              ====================================================

SEASON TICKETS granting  entry to all our remaining 19 Isthmian League HOME matches are again on offer at a cost of £30.  To obtain one visit the Club's Official Website (access it via the LINKS tab on the left and choose the third entry from the top).     Entry for non-season Ticket holders will be £10 with Concessions* at £5 and Under 18s free. 

CLUB MEMBERSHIP costing £50 (concessions £25*) is also available.  To obtain details and become a member visit the Club's Official Website. (access it as for Season Tickets)

CHARTER STANDARD ACHIEVED

The Club has now been awarded FA Adult Club Charter Standard Status

FA CUP & TROPHY DRAWS ANNOUNCED

In the Preliminary Round of the FA CUP, Borough will visit either FELIXTOWE & WALTON UNITED (who finished 5th in the Thurlow Nunn Eastern Counties League last season) or BARKING (3rd in the Essex Senior League) on Saturday 29th August

In the Preliminary Round of the FA TROPHY, Borough will visit FOLKESTONE INVICTA (runners up in Ryman League Division One South last season) on 3rd October.

Success in that game would result in a visit to DUNSTABLE TOWN (14th in the Evostik Southern League - Premier Division)

RYMAN LEAGUE CONSTITUTION CONFIRMED

The Constitution of the Ryman Leage was confirmed at the League AGM held on Sunday 14^th June at the Wembley Hilton Hotel.

Borough are members of a 24 team DIVISION ONE NORTH and will be playing:-

League Matches commence on Saturday 8^th August

JOHN PATMAN MEMORIAL TROPHY WINNER

           FOR 2014/15 is:-

DARRELL COX

The presentation of the silver plate was made to Darrell at the Club’s social evening held in the Clubhouse on 4^th June.   Well deserved recognition for his 38 goal haul – all the more remarkable as injury and work restricted his appearances to 30 from a possible 49 games

The Trophy is awarded annually in memory of our long term supporter, John Patman , who sadly passed away in 2013 and thus missed our hugely successful  final two years as a Level 5 Club

Below is a copy paste of an e-mail received by the Secretary today from the FA Leagues & Clubs Manager:-

Good evening John

I am writing to advise you that at a meeting of the Leagues Committee held earlier today the promotion of Haringey Borough FC to Step 4 of the National League System was confirmed.

The club has been allocated to the Isthmian League Division One North for season 2015/2016.
