WILL IT BE THIRD TIME LUCKY AGAINST

REGENT ON TUESDAY?

Our second contest in 8 days with Brightlingsea Regent ended 1-1 so it being an FA Cup 1^st Qualifying round tie they will be at Coles Park again on Tuesday 3^rd for the replay. It looked as if our one-nil half time lead might survive Regent’s second half onslaught thanks to the heroic goalkeeping of Reuben Rabstein and the determined, sometimes desperate, defence in front of him. But ten minutes from time a deserved equaliser finally came their way when a loose ball was headed home from close range in one of the many goalmouth scrambles. Disappointing to concede so late but a draw was a fair result. ..............Tuesday's replay ws a game which could have gone either way and on this occasion it went ours.  Brightlingsea had slightly the better of the first half which ended goal-less but we improved after the interval and Derek Asamoah headed us in front after 10 minutes.  A defensive slip led to Fred Agyemang being free to pick his spot to double the lead.  Brightlingsea pulled one back to set up a nervy last 15 minutes but Reuben Rabstein dealt confidently with everything which came his way so our 2-1 win means we entertain another Isthmian North Division Club - WITHAM TOWN in the 2nd.Qualifying Round on Saturday 14th September.  It being an FA Cup game its  an “all must pay” match with the gate money being shared with the visitors so season tickets will not be valid but we hope that there will be a noisy and sizeable Borough crowd to cheer the lads into the 3rd (penultimate) Qualifying Round ..............The UNDER 23s had got the wekend off to a winning start with a 2pm kick-off away to Chadwell Heath Spartans with their 3-0 victory preserving their three match unbeaten record......................on Sunday the WOMEN lost their two wins out of two record when visitors Luton Town left Coles Park 4-1 winners.   Borough were ahead inside ten minutes when Chloe Ions scored direct fom a free kick and she was unlucky not to add a second in similar fashion but this one was pushed onto the underside of the cross bar and the bounce down was scrambled clear. The Borough defence had to cope with sustained pressure when Luton stepped up a gear and held out until the 40th miniute but had fallen behind to a penalty by half time.  Luton dominated the second half but stubborn defending and an excellent goalkeeping performance by Liamara Hensel-Burg restricted them to just two more goals.

SEASON TICKETS granting free entry to all our 21 Isthmian League HOME matches are again on offer.  To obtain one visit the Club's Official Website (access it via the LINKS tab on the left and choose the third entry from the top).   Note that application must be made by Saturday 28th Septenber as applications thereafter will attract a fee of £30.   Entry for non-eason Ticket holders will be £10 with Concessions* at £5 and Under 18s free. 

CLUB MEMBERSHIP costing £50 (concessions £25*) is also available.  To obtain details and become a member visit the Club's Official Website. (access it as for Season Tickets) 

* meaning Over 60s, Students of 18+, NHS Staff, Armed Forces Personnel, Unemployed

CHARTER STANDARD ACHIEVED

The Club has now been awarded FA Adult Club Charter Standard Status

FA CUP & TROPHY DRAWS ANNOUNCED

In the Preliminary Round of the FA CUP, Borough will visit either FELIXTOWE & WALTON UNITED (who finished 5th in the Thurlow Nunn Eastern Counties League last season) or BARKING (3rd in the Essex Senior League) on Saturday 29th August

In the Preliminary Round of the FA TROPHY, Borough will visit FOLKESTONE INVICTA (runners up in Ryman League Division One South last season) on 3rd October.

Success in that game would result in a visit to DUNSTABLE TOWN (14th in the Evostik Southern League - Premier Division)

RYMAN LEAGUE CONSTITUTION CONFIRMED

The Constitution of the Ryman Leage was confirmed at the League AGM held on Sunday 14^th June at the Wembley Hilton Hotel.

Borough are members of a 24 team DIVISION ONE NORTH and will be playing:-

League Matches commence on Saturday 8^th August

JOHN PATMAN MEMORIAL TROPHY WINNER

           FOR 2014/15 is:-

DARRELL COX

The presentation of the silver plate was made to Darrell at the Club’s social evening held in the Clubhouse on 4^th June.   Well deserved recognition for his 38 goal haul – all the more remarkable as injury and work restricted his appearances to 30 from a possible 49 games

The Trophy is awarded annually in memory of our long term supporter, John Patman , who sadly passed away in 2013 and thus missed our hugely successful  final two years as a Level 5 Club

Below is a copy paste of an e-mail received by the Secretary today from the FA Leagues & Clubs Manager:-

Good evening John

I am writing to advise you that at a meeting of the Leagues Committee held earlier today the promotion of Haringey Borough FC to Step 4 of the National League System was confirmed.

The club has been allocated to the Isthmian League Division One North for season 2015/2016.
