Johnny had not been in the best of health for some years but shrugged everything off and continued to enjoy his football and his association with the Club. After a heart attack some month or so ago he had been “in and out” of the North Middlesex on three occasions. All who knew him in the world of football and his other friends will be saddened and miss his ever cheerful and knowlegeable presence at home matches. JOHNNY WAS CREMATED AT ENFIELD CREMATORIUM AT 12.30pm ON WEDNESDAY 28th AUGUST AND THIS WAS FOLLOWED BY A WAKE IN THE CLUBHOUSE. BOTH WERE WELL ATTENDED BY HIS FRIENDS, NEIGHBOURS AND CLUB COLLEAGUES. IN DUE COURSE HIS ASHES WILL BE SCATTERED ON THE PITCH AND WITH EVERYONE KNOWING OF HIS GREAT PASSION FOR THE CLUB NO-ONE DOUBTS THIS WILL UNDOUBTEDLY ACCORD WITH WHAT HE WOULD HAVE WISHED . Aug 24, 2013, 9:59 pm UNBEATEN RUN OVER All good things come to an end eventually, including unbeaten runs but the manner in which ours departed was dismal to say the least. Just how a team which has consistently shown the quality with which its players can perform could turn in such an abject performance beggars belief. So after 17 matches (7 at the end of last season, 6 pre season friendlies and 4 competitive games to date) we finally tasted defeat and deservedly so for it was obvious from the off which team had the greater desire and determination. True, Tower Hamlets secured their 2-1 home victory with a bitterly disputed stoppage time winner but in reality it was probably just reward for their greater effort over 90 minutes Aug 20, 2013, 11:35 pm SAFELY THROUGH IN ANOTHER KNOCK OUT COMPETITION Borough preserved their unbeaten record in this, their 4th match of the season, when they visited the Mayesbrook Park Stadium of BARKING FC in the First Round of the League Cup. For the 3rd time in their 4 matches Borough had to come from behind as Barking scored an early goal in their first attack. Borough hit back strongly and had gone close several times before Dewayne Clarke levelled matters a few minutes before the interval. Borough dominated the second half with Anthony McDonald scoring the 2nd and 4th goals and setting up the 3rd for Dean Fenton. In the next round Borough visit the winners of the outstanding tie between Stansted and Sporting Bengal United. Aug 18, 2013, 10:09 pm BOROUGH CRUISE THROUGH TO NEXT ROUND Borough comfortably dominated their Extra Preliminary Round Tie in the "FA Cup with Budweiser" against their Step 6 visitors Rushden & Higham United from Division One of the United Counties League. Two first half goals by Darrell Cox, the second coming moments before the interval put them in command and four goals in 12 minutes starting in the 69th completed the job. Anthony McDoald (2), Lawrence Constatnti and Dewayne Clarke were the second half marksmen. A sterner test awaits them in the next Round on 31st August when Step 4 Club AFC Hayes of the Calor ( i.e Southern) League Division One Central visit Coles Park.

Fuller report under "Fixtures and Results" option Aug 11, 2013, 8:45 pm SATISFACTORY START IN NEW ENVIRONMENT Borough garnered all three points from their first game as thet started life in the Essex Senior League Visitors Eton Manor were in their stride quicker than Borough whose defence had some shaky early moments and conceded the first goal of the game after 28 minutes. Borough then stepped up a gear and dominated proceedings for the rest of the half with Dean Fenton and Anthony McDonald putting them ahead before the interval with 31st and 41st minute strikes. The second half was goal-less but it was Borough who made most of the running and created the chances with their own goal never looking to be under serious threat.
