Aug 14, 2010, 8:33 pm .........STILL ON THE ROAD TO WEMBLEY After an uneventful first half Borough stepped up a gear and ran out comfortable 3-0 winners against Hillingdon Borough in the Extra Preliminary Round of the FA Cup. It was Borough's first FA Cup win since 2003 and will see them travelling to BURNHAM RAMBLERS, who beat Hoddesdon Town 2-1, in the Preliminary Round on 28th August. Aug 12, 2010, 2:05 pm LONDON SENIOR CUP DRAW ANNOUNCED We have drawn a bye in the First Round of the London Senior Cup. Our Second Round opponents (at Coles Park) will be either COCKFOSTERS of our own League or LEWISHAM BOROUGH (COMMUNITY) FC of the Kent County League. If we make the Third Round we will be away to Cray Wanderers of the Rymans Premier League and survival of that test would see us visiting either REDBRIDGE or LEYTON or TOOTING and MITCHAM UNITED in the Quarter Finals. A Semi Final tie would also be away from home. Jul 28, 2010, 1:51 pm ...BOROUGH ARE THROUGH TO THE 2nd QUALIFYING ROUND OF THE FA VASE The FA have removed Borough's First Qualifying Round opponents (TOKYNGTON MANOR) from the Competition so the scheduled match on 4th September will not take place. Borough will enter the CVompetition in the 2nd. Qualifying round away to the winners of the OXHEY JETS v ST. MARGARETSBURY tie. Jul 26, 2010, 12:39 pm .........HOME DRAWS A-PLENTY IN LEAGUE'S KNOCK OUT COMPETITIONS Borough enjoyed favourable draws in both the League Trophy and the Premier Division Cup In the TROPHY they could go to the quarter final without leaving Coles Park. Their First Round opponents will be AMPTHILL TOWN of Division One. Success would bring a visit from either DUNSTABLE TOWN (Premier Division) or PITSTONE and IVINGHOE (Division 2) and if they reach the Third Round their visitors would be THE 61FC (Division 2) or HAREFIELD UNITED (Premier Division) or PADBURY UNITED (Division 2). Any Quarter Final or Semi Final tie would be away from home. In the PREMIER DIVISION CUP they will be visited by ST. MARGARETSBURY in the First Round. Success would see any further games away from home - at either BIGGLESWADE UNITED or BROXBOURNE BOROUGH in the second round and at LANGFORD or KENTISH TOWN in the Quarter Final.
