NEW STRIKERS MAKE PROMISING DEBUTS
Boroughs two most recent signings - strikers Josh Francois and Christopher West - both made promising starts in last Saturdays (December 6) unlucky odd goal defeat at Langford.
Josh, who played for Chalfont St. Peter last season, played the full 90 minutes and showed that his strength will add some much needed power to Boroughs otherwise skilful but lightweight attack.
Chris, another player not likely to be easily knocked off the ball, is also registered with Maidenhead United's Capital Counties team and entered the fray midway through the second half as substitute and knocked home Boroughs 86th minute equaliser which looked likely to secure a point until the heartbreak of Langford's virtually last kick winner. ..........WE CAN CONCENTRATE ON THE LEAGUE
Sadly Borough's interest in the five knock out competitions we enter concluded for this season in the freezing cold at Aylesbury Vale's Haywood Way Stadium last Tuesday (25th November) as we left on the wrong end of a 2-0 scoreline in the Premier Division Cup. So, to quote a well worn cliche, we can now concentrate on the League - starting (with another overworked cliche in the form of a 6 pointer) - when Cockfosters visit us on Saturday 29th. Currently they are level with us on 13 points but have played one game more and nurse a goal differenece inferior to ours by just one.

WEATHER STOPS PLAY Tuesday's Spartan South Midlands Premier Division match was abandoned at half-time due to the weather conditions. Borough were losing 2-1 going into the second half before the officials decided to stop play.Oct 26, 2008, 9:39 pm
UP TWO MORE PLACES
Borough's second visit to Welwyn Garden City (the first was for a Premier Division Cup game) produced another much needed victory which lifted Borough above two more teams - Welwyn Garden City and Cockfosters from 20th into 18th place. With the bottom 2 (Holmer Green & Brimsdown Rovers) playing each other and drawing Borough are now 4 points clear of both of them with 12 points to their 8.
Borough always looked the more likely winners at Welwyn even when one down at half time and a fine second half produced three goals and three precious points.

Oct 11, 2008, 7:01 pm FENNY'S CHANGES PAY OFF BIG TIME AND SENSATIONAL GOAL CLINCHES WIN After two dismal performances which saw eight goals shipped without reply against fellow strugglers it was not surprising that Manager Alan Fenn opted for major changes in line up and tactics with several players who have rarely made the starting line-up given the chance to stake their claim -which they all duly did -and new signing Niall Ritchie made an impressive debut at right back. Two up at half time the highlight of the match followed midway through the second half when Lewis Laws spotted the home' keeper much too far from his line and went for the “Beckham option†from just inside his own half - it was like watching yet another replay of that over exposed event but this time for real; appreciated by everyone except the embarrassed goalie, it effectively ended any realistic Tring hopes of salvaging anything from the match. The win lifted Borough off the foot of the table and above the next three teams. It was the first points secured away from home and the first clean sheet of the season. Oct 10, 2008, 1:22 pm

15 -0 BIGGEST WIN EVER ?
The Clubs other teams all crashed out of their respective FA Competitions at the first hurdle but the Women ran riot in their first outing in the Womens FA Cup scoring 15 times without reply in their First Qualifying Round Tie against Uxbridge United at Brunel University. This eclipsed their previous best in this competition when Banbury United were dispatched by a mere 10 goals a few seasons ago.
